Bourke's Parrot (11/18)

Neopsephotus bourkii  

Eulo Bore is noted for Bourke's parrot. When I arrived at about 11am it was barren but North of the bore is a dry tree-lined creek and the birds were found resting quietly in the trees, only their soft musical twittering betraying their presence.

The male has beautiful pastel shades of pink and blue that seem to glow in the light.
